The Border Politics of Anti-Communism and Anti-Discrimination in South Korea
In the spring of 2018, over five hundred Yemenis flew to South Korea from the brutal civil war in Yemen. Within days, a massive, highly organized anti-asylum movement nationwide appeared which resulted in the decision to close the borders to Yemenis.
